www.QuickieMarketing.com. James Carney at Quickie Marketing is da man.
Last week I decided to cowgirl up and try an email marketing campaign. You know those emails that you hate to get in your bulk mail, because you don’t have the time to hit delete for the 100th time that day. You have to sort through this maze of bulk mail, just in case you get a valid buyer or seller that wants your help. God help us, I love spam.
I received a spam/bulk email from this company, somehow they got my attention, which made me think, maybe they could get someone’s attention for me.
Decided, it was worth a try and set to go on Tuesday, July 28th, 2009. We sent a mass email all day to more than 4,000,000 emails most of which were to real estate agents. My target market was to let agents know that we have custom maps.
I received a few hate emails, one phone call that I had to hang up on. But dozens and dozens of valid leads. I couldn’t believe it. Did not receive 1 nasty email from real estate agents, but people who were not and didn’t want to be on the list.
I am quite the newby at my own email marketing and have made many mistakes. With the expertise of James, we worked very late Monday night to come up with a basic landing page. It had to be pretty, simple and to the point. We had problems, it was not perfect, but starting first thing Tuesday morning as this has been known to be a good day for people opening emails, and hopefully mine.
There were so many leads for our custom maps that we couldn’t handle the responses quick enough. NEVER have I had this problem.
Among the many wonderful emails that we received, the one today was the icing on the cake. Looks like we might have the ability to do government type of interactive maps.
That got us to thinking about how to enhance our custom maps so they are dynamically driven and our clients have the ability to update them.
I look at my spam box differently now. Could be something that is of value!
